CFL 2017: What is East Bengal’s Mahmoud Al Amna saying before the season officially begins?

Kingfisher East Bengal’s new hope for the 2017-18 season, Mahmoud Al Amna is gearing up for the season at it’s all set to commence from Saturday against Rainbow. The Syrian play-maker had a wonderful season with I-League champions Aizawl FC in 2016/17 and will be carrying a burden of expectation when he will play his first match tomorrow.

Today, after the training session, the Syrian told the media, “Forget the pre season games. Tomorrow it will be a different game and we are looking forward to it.” The dynamic midfielder also mentioned, “I have come here to give my club the trophies and my focus will be exactly on that.

Al Amna also told, “It will be an advantage as the Aizawl FC players who have joined East Bengal this season, are familiar with my style. It will be fun playing with them again.” He added, “I knew Khalid even before joining Aizawl FC. He is a great professional and I’m sure that we will do well this season as well.”

Al Amna backs his support for his team-mate Willis Plaza, who looked literally off-coloured against Rainbow, Amna said, “He is a class player and was very much in the match practice before joining the training this season. We have to play well as a team.”
