Mohun Bagan Kolkata: Today Mr. Srinjoy Bose, Hony. Asst. General Secretary and Mr. Debashis Dutta, Hony. Finance Secretary of Mohun Bagan met the Commissioner of Police, Shri Rajiv Kumar and Addl. Commissioner of Police, Shri Supratim Sarkar at Lal Bazar, Police Headquarters. The meeting with Police top brass was requested in view of the appeal made by our supporters and members for the inconvenience they are having during CFL 2017 matches. The purpose of the meet was to discuss the situation which had occurred during the CFL 2017 matches of Mohun Bagan at Club Ground. The Officials briefed the Commissioner of Police about the predicament spectators are facing on match days. This year the turnouts of spectators have been extra ordinary to  CFL 2017 match days. The huge gatherings of spectators outside the stadium have led to problem at entry gates. Shri Rajiv Kumar immediately asked DC South Shri Praveen Tripathi to inspect the Mohun Bagan Athletic Club Ground and have a detail discussion with Club Official. In the evening Shri Praveen Tripathi had visited the Club Ground with other Police officers’ and met Mr. Srinjoy Bose. After thorough discussion, Shri Praveen Tripathi suggested that the following measures will be implemented from next match onwards to help felicitate proper viewing for supporters and members; i) Police have requested the Sports Department to give 3 (three) tickets per person in the sports gallery. Once the ticket holder enters the public gallery he will not be allowed to go out before the end of the match. ii) Restrictions of Non-Members Entry at Members Gallery. From next match onwards Members are requested to bring their current membership card for 2017-18 season along with their ID Card. This will help the deployed police personnel to identify the members as well as will help to restrict the entry of non-members. iii) Entry to members and public gallery will be strictly closed 5 minutes before the start of the match. iv) Arrangements are being made to ensure that spectators get to see the match from the rampart side. The Club is extremely thankful to Shri Rajiv Kumar and the Kolkata Police for promptly taking action to ensure smooth and peaceful organisation of the match.
