Xtra Time Web Desk: In a bizarre incident the play during the IPL match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Punjab Kings at the Brabourne Stadium on Friday night had to be stopped for a brief period due to a black cat. The incident happened in the first over of the RCB run chase after PBKS had posted 209/9 in their 20 overs.
Interestingly, the animal had not entered the playing area but was sitting over the sightscreen, creating obstruction for RCB captain Faf du Plessis. The cat could have caused a problem for the Du Plessis to sight the ball. He stopped Harpreet Brar who had started his run-up. The umpires had to tell the staff to move it away.
