Brace from Manvir and Krishna helped ATK Mohun Bagan put 4 past Odisha

XtraTime Web Desk – ATK Mohun Bagan coach Antonio Lopez Habas promised for attacking football and his boys kept showed that the Mariners can be really dangerous in attacking.

Odisha might be the last boy in the table but it wasn’t easy for Odisha. Mariners though took an early lead in the 11th minute as Manvir Singh’s brilliant left footed strike put Mariners ahead.

Odisha kept the position but ATK Mohun Bagan was taking all the shots. As expected, Lenny Rodriguez started for them and was close to score one in the 23rd minute but the ball sailed above the post.

In the 40th minute, Marcelinho got a great opportunity to put Mariners 2-0 up but his shot was brilliantly saved by Arshdeep Singh. Then, Odisha FC out of nowhere scored in the 46th minute of the match. Cole Alexander’s curler helped Odisha go level just before the half-time.

Soon into the second half, it was once again Manvir Singh who put the Mariners ahead. Arshdeep Singh failed to keep Manvir’s grounded shot and Odisha was down once again!

Post that, Krishna scored 2 in quick succession to give ATK Mohun Bagan a huge win over Odisha FC. Krishna scored in the 83rd minute from the Penalty and he quickly scored his double in the 85th minute after brilliantly controlled the ball and put past Arshdeep.

With this huge win, ATK Mohun Bagan now has 30 points from 15 games and are just 3 points behind from the league leaders Mumbai City FC. Odisha FC on the other hand has 8 points from 15 games and are the last boys of the league.
