Bollywood Director mulling the idea of doing a film on the life story and struggles of Yashasvi Jaiswal

Xtra Time Web Desk: Noted Bollywood Director Mahesh Manjrekar is mulling doing a film on the life story and struggles of Rajasthan Royals’ batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal. It is still at a nascent stage as the Director of ‘Vaastav’, ‘Astitva’ is working on the idea to do a film on Yashasvi.

Elder son of a small paint store owner from Bidhoi in Uttar Pradesh, Yashasvi decided to come to Mumbai with an ambition of making cricket as a career. He travelled with a relative to Mumbai’s Berli but it was not a big place to live in. Due to which he had to spent night with groundsmen in a tent house.

Yashasvi endured so much pain at a young age is a awe inspiring story. In order to maintain a living, he (Yashasvi) sold Panipuri during Ramleela at the Azad maidan. It was until former India cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar spotted him on a sunny afternoon at the Azad ground in 2016. He was soon signed for Dadar Union Sports Club and was groomed by Jwala Singh, who worked in Vengsarkar’s academy.

It was a perfect rags to riches story when Yashasvi was roped in Rajasthan Royals for Rs 2.4 crore. Yashasvi now owns a flat and has also brought a car in Mumbai. Recently the Rajasthan Royals’ cricketer got some valuable tips from India and RCB captain Virat Kohli.
