Blow for CSK as Ravindra Jadeja likely to be ruled out of remainder of IPL 2022 due to injury
Xtra Time Web Desk: In what comes as a huge blow to defending champions Chennai Super Kings, Ravindra Jadeja is likely to miss the remainder of IPL 2022 due to an injury in his ribs. The star all-rounder was injured while fielding against the Royal Challengers Bangalore recently. Even though Jadeja continued fielding, he was consequently ruled out of CSK’s last match against Delhi Capitals, which the defending champions won by a comfortable margin.
The left hander is being monitored by the CSK medical team. Jadeja will travel to National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru for rehabilitation.
Jadeja recently stepped down from CSK captaincy as it was affecting his game. MS Dhoni took over the captaincy from Jadeja. The Sourashtra cricketer had a disappointing IPL 2022 season. In 10 matches, he has only amassed 116 runs and took only five wickets, no where near the high standards he sets on the field.
