Bengal teenage footballer Subho Paul gets selected for FC Bayern world squad

For young Subho Paul, his dream of a professional footballer is taking the right direction. Hailing from the district on Howrah in West Bengal, the 17 year old footballer has been selected in the FC Bayern Munich U’19 World Squad.
Subho is among the 15 selected young and talented footballers from around the globe for the U19 Bayern Munich world squad. It is a tremendous achievement for the left winger due to the fact that a total of 654 players from 64 nations showed off their skills in more than 1,200 short videos, applied for one of the coveted squad places.
Subho Paul has made quite an impact in the India U-16 boys’ team over the last year.The left-winger has made a direct contribution in the performance of the Indian colts, contributing to 13 goals from his eight junior international matches in the SAFF U-15 Championships and in the AFC U-16 Championship Qualifiers.
Talking about the initiative from FC Bayern Munich, the Bundesliga champion club is bringing 15 international Under 19 talents a step closer to fulfilling their dreams. In the coming months, the players will be digitally trained by professional FC Bayern coaches and equipped with individually tailored training plans. The highlight of the project is a match between the World Squad and the FC Bayern U19s in Munich.
The scouting and decision-making process was led by a professional coaching team with former Bayern captain and World Cup winner Klaus Augenthaler and international FC Bayern youth coach Christopher Loch. They will now also lead the digital training of the selected young talents, in which special focus will be placed on team building and cultural exchange in addition to the sporting aspects. The FC Bayern World Squad will conclude with a training camp in Munich for all selected talents. There, the young footballers have the chance to get to know FC Bayern even better and to compete in a match with the FC Bayern U19s.
