Sachin Internet Desk: A lot of controversies were going on regarding CAC’s decision on appointing Ravi Shastri as the coach of Indian cricket team. The cricket pundits bantered the CAC after the selection process, though they choose the support staff along with Shastri by respecting Kohli's wishes. After much dissension the BCCI finally broke their silence on this matter by saying that the appointments of Rahul Dravid and Zaheer Khan as batting and bowling consultants respectively were made after consultation with new head coach Ravi Shastri and CAC were right on their choices. BCCI chose to react on the matter after the CAC comprising of Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and VVS Laxman wrote a letter CoA where they expressed their anger over Shastri’s demand for his own support staff. "The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) expresses its sincere gratitude to the members of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) who most willingly agreed to undertake the process of selection of the Head Coach of the Indian Cricket Team," the BCCI release said. "The three members of the committee - Mr. Sourav Ganguly, Mr. Sachin Tendulkar and Mr. VVS Laxman - have executed the assigned task with total transparency, professionalism and commitment to Indian cricket," the release further stated. The Men in Blue already have a full-time batting coach with Sanjay Bangar, and after the addition of Dravid and Zaheer along with former team director Ravi Shastri, the team has become quite invincible. "The recommendation for Mr. Ravi Shastri was made on the merit of his presentation and the vision that he projected for taking the team to greater heights. After taking the decision on his selection, the CAC consulted him and decided on having Batting and Bowling consultants on overseas tour-to-tour basis, as per the requirement of the team."
