Kolkata: How could BCCI do such a blunder! That too with India’s cricket icon Mahendra Singh Dhoni! The incident happened in a Vijay Hazare Trophy encounter between Jharkhand and Saurastra at the Eden Gardens, as Board’s website and domestic twitter handle posted some wrong information regarding Jharkhand’s scoreboard.

The incident took place during Jharkhand’s batting. Jharkhand lost their 8th wicket and their score was 109 runs from 18.5 overs. Rahul Shukla went for a duck after as he was clean bowled by Shaurya Sanandia after playing 11 deliveries but BCCI Domestic’s official twitter posted that Dhoni was out after scoring 21 runs from 22 deliveries. Except that, Board’s official website BCCI.tv posted that Jharkhand had lost their 8th wicket on 108 with Dhoni got out after 18.5 overs but the original score was 109 for the loss of 8 wickets.

Few moments later, BCCI on their Domestic twitter handle made another blunder as they showed after 20 overs, Jharkhand was at 111 for 8 and Varun Aron was batting on 2 from 6 balls and Shukla was on 1 after playing 11 balls. But the original scenario was Jharkhand skipper MS Dhoni was still batting on 23 runs and his partner in the crease was Varun Aaron and Shukla went back to the dressing room after getting out on a duck long ago.

After this incident, many cricket fans retweeted these tweets and trolled BCCI Domestic’s official twitter account. BCCI didn’t remove those tweets despite knowing that they had made a blunder though they rectified their fault on BCCI’s scorecard.
