Battle of native brothers as Mohun Bagan is gearing up to face Shillong Lajong

Kolkata: Mohun bagan is set to face Shillong Lajong in and I-League encounter which is set to be played at the Salt Lake Stadium. It won’t be only a battle between the two teams but of two native brothers two. They are Mohun Bagan’s star forward Ansumana Kromah and Shillong Lajong defender Lawrence Doe. Both of them are from Liberia and are rearing to face each other on the field.

Kromah though heaped praise for Lawrence ahead of their encounter.” He is a very good footballer. When I was a kid, I used to watch his game on TV. I have even watched him play in the ground too. But the coach of our Liberian national team didn’t like the style of play of Lawrence. After knowing the fact, Lawrence left the country to play in the other countries. It would be a dream come true moment for me to play against him tomorrow,” said Kromah.

On being asked if he is a bit nervous ahead of facing his fellow country man, Kromah said,” I am not at all tensed ahead of facing him. He is a professional footballer and same goes for me. I like him a lot, he even came to my house last night to spend time, but in the ground we are enemies for 90 minutes tomorrow.”

Lawrence said,” I know Kromah since his childhood days. Though he is yet to make his name as a good foreigner in India but he has that x-factor to become successful in India. He played really well against Churchill Brothers too.”
