BAN vs SL: 1st ODI to go ahead as Isuru Udana and Chaminda Vaas test negative for COVID-19

Xtra Time Web Desk: he first ODI between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh will go ahead as scheduled as fast bowler Isuru Udana and bowling coach Chaminda Vaas has tested negative for COVID-19 in a 2nd PCR test. The first ODI between the two sides will go ahead at the Sher e Bangla stadium in Mirpur. Shiran Fernando is yet to test negative and is isolated himself from the squad.

Earlier, two members of the Sri Lankan ODI squad – Isuru Udana and Shiran Fernando along with bowling coach Chaminda Vaas have tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of the first ODI against Bangladesh in Dhaka on Sunday.

According to reports, the Lankan team is now awaiting the results of a second PCR test on Sunday morning as doubts are cast on the three-match series.

The first ODI which is due to begin at 12:30 pm (IST)  is now unsure to go as per schedule.
