Australia will have an edge over India in test series at end of the year, says Tim Paine

XtraTime Web Desk: The current Australia side with David Warner and Steve Smith will be a different kettle of fish in the test series coming up against India later this year; feels Australian test captain Tim Paine. Both Warner and Smith were not available for selection (serving bans) in the last series played between the two countries in 2018-19. Kohli and his boys registered a memorable test series win, first by any touring Indian teams Down Under.

It will be a different preposition altogether as the two experienced cricketers will definitely give the hosts an edge. Both Warner and Smith have a combined test runs of over 15000. Not only the seasoned duo but the extremely talented Marnus Labuschagne also adds the necessary depth that the batting unit didn’t have last time around.

“I think you put in 15,000 Test runs with two guys. You put that amount of runs into a cricket side, last time we didn’t have … we know how good India’s bowling line-up is and last time we just weren’t quite good enough if we’re totally honest against that attack, whereas this time I think we’ll be a different kettle of fish. We’ve got three of the best batsmen in the world in our top six,” said Paine.

So, as it stands cricket fans all over the world will anticipate another fiercely fought series between the top two test teams of the world.
