Asian Games 2018: Arpinder Singh creates history, becomes first Indian to win triple jump gold


XtraTime Web Desk: More good news for India as Arpinder Singh won a gold medal in Men’s Triple Jump on the 11th day of the Asian Games 2018. Though another Indian Rakesh Babu AV ended on sixth position.




Arpinder Singh covered a distance of 16.77 to seal his gold medal. It can be termed as a record as this is the first medal in 48 years for India in the sport of Triple Jump at the Asian Games.




With India’s 10th gold medal today, their medal tally rose to 53, including 20 silver and 23 bronze medal.
