Debasis Sen, Dubai: In a heartwarming video Pakistani Adil Taj was seen singing the Indian anthem in the stands here at the Dubai International Stadium ahead of Sunday’s high profile Super 4 clash between the two countries. Adil who originally hails from Abottabad in Pakistan is based here in Dubai. The 29 year old runs a transport agency along with his brother.




Speaking to www.xtratime.in Taj said, “The moment Indian national anthem was played, I got a reminder of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan stating that If India would move one step ahead then we would move two steps further. It was a small gesture from my side towards peace, towards respect.”

A die hard Barcelona fan, Taj was seen walking into the stadium with the Pakistan national flag. Among the thousands of fans there was an Indo-Pak couple as well. Sana and Yasir has been married now for a year and is settled in Dubai. Sana hails from Mumbai while Yasir has his roots back in Karachi. But both were seen walking hand in hand to the stadium.




According to Sana, “It was cricket that brought us together both our common interest is cricket. The culture is the same from both countries and both families accepted our relationship.”




In a testimony to Mission Milap, Sana adds, “We are first human beings and then the colour of our flag comes.”
