Xtra Time Web Desk: The All-India Football Federation Secretary Kushal Das on Thursday sent a legal notice to Ranjit Bajaj, for his allegation against him. Mr Bajaj in a series of tweets has alleged that the Federation secretary had sexually harassed a female staff of the AIFF. And this time it is rumoured that the federation could impose a life ban on him.

The legal notice has asked Ranjit Bajaj to delete all tweets against Kushal Das. Secondly, the notice has also asked the former Minerva Punjab owner to apologize unconditionally. Thirdly, it also states that Bajaj should not file any defamation suit against Kushal Das in future. Lastly, Bajaj will have to pay a fine for damaging the image of Kushal Das. If these conditions are not met, Kushal Das may file a defamation suit against Ranjit Bajaj.

What is in the notice sent by Kushal Das? Lawyers for the AIFF secretary have claimed that Ranjit Bajaj’s allegations against the AIFF secretary are baseless and no concrete evidence has been found. Earlier, the All-India Football Federation said in a statement that Bajaj’s allegations were baseless. As a result, Bajaj’s allegations on social media have tarnished the image of a respected personality like Kushal Das.

Mr Ranjit Bajaj on being contacted by Xtra Time said he have not yet received the notice. Even if he receives the notice, he has no intention to withdraw his complaints against Mr Das but would continue to fight.

Ranjit Bajaj also told Xtra Time that he wants an independent committee to investigate the allegations, so that he could present his evidence in front of them and bring the female staff to the fore in the interest of the governance of the Federation.

Mr Bajaj also said that the investigation should not be conducted by the All-India Football Federation in any way, as there would be a conflict of interest.
