Ahmedabad & Kolkata likely to host Team India’s limited over home series against West Indies : Report

Xtra Time Web Desk : Team India are scheduled to play a six match limited over home series against West Indies in the month of February, consisting of 3 ODI’S and 3 T20I’S. And reportedly, Ahmedabad and Kolkata are going to be the likely venues to host the series amidst the current COVID-19 surge in the country.

Opening up about the above matter to the Times of India, a BCCI source said, “The tours and fixtures committee of the BCCI held a meeting today. It was initially thought that the series could be played in multiple venues. However, due to the covid situation, the committee has recommended that the white-ball series will now only be played in two venues — Ahmedabad and Kolkata.”

Originally, the ODI series was scheduled to be played from February 6 at Ahmedabad, Jaipur & Kolkata and the T20I series was to be played in Cuttack, Visakhapatnam and Thiruvananthapuram.

The BCCI are however expected the final fixtures for the series within a day or two.
