ACL 2021: Persepolis trounce Goa by 4-0

Xtratime Web Desk :- On Friday night at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatodra FC GOA was handed their biggest defeat in the ongoing AFC Champions League by Iranian club Persepolis FC. Goa coach Fernando had to make 8 changes in the first playing XI as they were playing their 3 rd match in a week.

FC Goa drew 0-0 in their first two matches vs AL-RAYYAN and AL-WAHDA. In their third match they tasted their first defeat as they were beaten by Persepolis FC.

Starting with as many as eight new footballers in their first eleven FC Goa were trounced 4-0 by Iranian champions Persepolis FC in their return-leg AFC Champions League Group E match in Goa played on Friday. Shahriar Moghanlou (24th minute) opened the scoring for Persepolis. Lead was doubled by Mehadi Torabi (43rd). Both teams went into half time with a score of 2-0 against FC Goa. Issa Alkasir (47th) made it 3-0 and Kamal Kamyabinia (58th) scored the winners in a completely one-sided match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
