Image Source: twitter[/caption] Internet Desk: In a rare gesture to help sportsman in the country, Beijing Olympics Gold medalist Abhinav Bindra has come up with a state-of-the-art High Performance Center in Chandigarh. The HPC will be made available for free to all elite Indian athletes. It has been a long wish for Abhinav to have a High Performance Center, and he has made his desire public as well. True to his words the champion shooter finally has his desire transformed into reality. “In India for the longest time we have lamented the absence of cutting edge state of the art training and assessment facilities and it was always an ambition to do something at home for our own athletes. For 22 years of my life I have been searching for equipment like this. I finally managed to experience it a year before Rio and can tell you these will not only make us at par with the West but will also get us ahead of the curve. That's why I was determined to set this up in India and plan to do more nationally if like-minded people come together,” said Abhinav to indiatoday.in The center itself is beautifully set up. As you enter the High Performance Center your eyes will automatically attracted towards his famous comment, "We think an Olympics comes every four years. It actually comes every day." Created in collaboration with Tecnobody, Italy each equipments in the center is fitted with 3D cameras and motion sensors and digital screens and in each of them an athlete can check 3D imaging of his own body and his or her body equilibrium and other functional aspects real time. The High Performance Center in Chandigarh will not be the single one as Abhinav plans to replicate these micro centers across the country.
