Internet Desk: Indian cricket’s most awaited carnival, Indian Premier League is set to start in just one and half months time. Ahead of that all eight franchises bought their wanted players through auction back in January. Players from India as well as abroad were bought by the franchises for a whooping amount of money. Today www.xtratime.in will discuss about five cricketers who are kind of overpriced and might demoralize their franchises in the forthcoming season.

Jaydev Unadkat:  Inaugural Indian Premier League champions Rajasthan Royals bought Jaydev Unadkat for a whooping amount of 11.5 crore on the second day of auction. A lot of cricket pundits didn’t find any reason for why the RR management spent this amount of money behind a bowler who didn’t have that good domestic season as well. In the ongoing India’s Tour of South Africa he played two T20Is but failed to deliver in both the matches as his stat is 1/33 and 2/44 with one T20I still left in the campaign.

Sanju Samson: Beside Unadkat, Rajasthan Royals also bought Sanju Samson for a massive 8 crore amount. It will be a home coming of Samson as he started his IPL career from here, but here also question should arise about the Royals franchise as Sanju’s batting was nothing but par for his home side Kerala in the domestic matches in the ongoing season.

Kedar Jadhav: The star Indian all-rounder was bought by MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings for an amount of 7.6 crore. The 32 year-old cricketer hasn’t performed well for the Men in Blue as well during the ongoing Proteas tour and it is highly in doubts whether he would do well in the IPL as well.

Dinesh Karthik:  Two-time IPL champions Kolkata Knight Riders bought him in this year’s auction for 7.4 crore. With Robin Uthappa in the side, one can question the motives of KKR management that why they have bought another wicket-keeper batsman.

Andrew Tye: The Australian fast bowler was picked by Kings XI Punjab for a whooping amount of 7.2 crore this season. He was a part of Gujarat Lions last season. But looking at his current form, the amount looks much higher for him.
