XtraTime Web Desk: Spain’s World Cup dream is in doubts as Dani Carvajal got an injury in Champions League final. The star-right back likely to replace by Marc Bartra.

Carvajal was forced off in the first half as Real Madrid locked their horns with Liverpool in the Champions League Final.

He left the pitch in tears, and it followed an earlier incident where he picked up a knock in the pre-match warm-up.

Should he not be able to play in the World Cup, Real Betis’ January signing is the first choice to replace him in the squad.

Sergi Roberto is a second alternative, although previous selections have shown the former Porto coach doesn’t favour the Barcelona utility player.

Cesar Azpilicueta and Nacho Fernandez are both adept at playing in a full-back position, so Bartra’s inclusion would add cover in the centre.

Lopetegui has until June 4 to decide his final squad, and Carvajal will anxiously await the results of his medical tests on Sunday.
