2018 FIFA WC: Dani Carvajal is going to Russia

Carvajal will go to Russia

XtraTime Web Desk: Real Madrid star defender  Dani Carvajal cleared the fitness test in a Madrid hospital on Monday. He will join the Spanish squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup.

It will take a maximum of three weeks to recover from hamstring tear he received in the Champions League final.

Now, the Spanish FA (RFEF) has confirmed that he will continue his comeback with La Roja when they convene at their pre-World Cup training camp at 18:30 CET on Monday.

Real Madrid players had already been given a week off after the win in Kiev and Carvajal will be monitored over that period, with Julen Lopetegui understandably keen to have him on the plane to Russia.

Alterations to Spain’s 23-man squad can be made until June 4 with only those on the standby list able to come in for any injured players, making Marc Bartra the likely alternative should Carvajal receive any setbacks.
