Internet Desk: 19-yr old Rudra Dhanday created history on Thursday as he scored a double ton from only 67 deliveries. Young Dhandey achieved this feat in the Mumbai University’s Inter-College Cricket Tournament.

The Mumbai batsman who opened for Rizvi College smashed a thunderous 200 not out against P Dalmia College. After winning the toss, Rizvi College elected to bat first and opener Dhanday smashed a quick firing 100 in just 39 balls and then reached 200 in 67 balls thus helping his team put a humongous target of 322 for the loss of only 2 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. His double ton consisted of 21 boundaries and 15 over boundaries.

Rizvi College registered an easy win after Dalmia College was bowled out for only 75 runs.

“I am speechless. I can’t believe I did something like this,” said an excited Dhanday.

“It’s a perfect gift for my mom and dad who have their marriage anniversary tomorrow,” he added.

The Mumbai U-19 cricketer had also previously scored five centuries in the T-20 format.

Dhanday started his cricket under his father who works in customs. “I spoke to my dad who also is my coach and he is very happy with this effort. He asked me to carry on the good work as the Mumbai selection trials are around the corner.”

So what did he have for breakfast? “Nothing, but a glass of milk as I had no time to have breakfast,” Dhanday, who idolizes Virender Sehwag said.

In professional cricket Chris Gayle holds the record of the highest runs scored by an individual after he smashed 175 runs in 66 runs for RCB against Pune Warriors in IPL 2013.Mohit Ahlawat from Delhi became the first ever Delhi batsman to score 300 runs earlier this year.
