XtraTime Web Desk – After 4 consecutive victories, Mumbai City FC’s victory run came to an end as Jamshedpur FC managed to lock them to a 1-1 draw.

Nerijus Valskis scored in the 9th minute and gave Jamshedpur a very important lead against a strong opponent. However, Jamshedpur couldn’t hold on to that lead for a long time B. Ogbeche scored in the 15th minute to equalise. After that in the 28th minute, Aitor Monroy was given the marching orders after recieving a second yellow card in quick succession.

Jamshedpur were down but not out. They fought and came close to take the lead against the table toppers but Amrinder Singh saved brilliantly and denied Jackichand from scoring a goal. Mumbai as well created few opportunities but all they hardly could keep the shots on target.

Just like any other Jamshedpur match, Peter Hartley was the heart of Jamshedpur’a defense. He was once again brilliant in both the halves. In the second half, Rowlin Borges missed a sitter as he failed to score in an open net situation. After that every chance Mumbai created was stopped or blocked by their captain, Hartley. At the back end of the match, Rehenesh TP stopped a shot that could’ve been a goal any other day. He jumped to his left, saved the ground shot and in a matter of two seconds quickly stretched himself and saved the ball from going inside from the top corner. The commentators called it, ‘save of the season’ and with that Jamshedpur drew 1-1 with Mumbai City FC.

Mumbai City FC now has 13 points from 6 games and sitting at the top of the table while Jamshedpur has 7 points from 6 games and is currently on the 6th position.
