10-man FC Goa concede a late goal as they lose against Mumbai City FC

XtraTime Web Desk – In the final dying minutes of FC Goa versus Mumbai City FC, the latter got a penalty that changed the complexion of the game and gave Mumbai City FC all 3 points.

Both the team started in a very quick fashion with attacking football throughout. FC Goa had a lot of opportunities to go ahead but Amrinder Singh was in a beast mode and didn’t allow any shot to cross the goal line mark. Both the teams were desperate for a goal but couldn’t find a way as Mumbai City FC missed a lot of chances.

In the 40th minute mark, Redeem Tlang of FC Goa was given a straight red after a dangerous challenge on Hernan Santana. Goa played the entire second half with 10 men but they didn’t slow down as they kept their attacking intensions intact. Amrinder was brilliant again in the second half as was Gonzalez for FC Goa.

When everyone thought that both the teams will get point each, Mumbai City FC got a penalty in the 94th minute. The ball stuck on Lenny Rodrigues’ hand leading to the penalty. Adam Le Fondre made no mistake from the spot-kick as Mumbai City FC took all 3 points home.

With this win, Mumbai City FC registered their first win of the season as FC Goa gathered just 1 point from 2 games.
