XtraTime Web Desk: Zlatan Ibrahimovic and goals are synonymous to each other and the Swedish legend has termed himself as the 'God of Goals' after scoring for the 500th time in his professional career. The veteran Swedish striker achieved the milestone with an outrageous roundhouse kick volley but it wasn't enough to prevent the Los Angeles Galaxy losing 5-3 at Toronto. And Ibrahimovic took to Twitter afterwards to celebrate, posting a film poster style graphic that read 'Zlatan: God of Goals' along with the caption '500'.

'Obviously, it's not good to lose... but I'm happy for Toronto because they'll be remembered as my 500th victim,' said the 36-year-old on TSN.

Ibrahimovic now has 17 goals in 22 appearances for the Major League Soccer side, whom he joined from Manchester United earlier this year.

In addition, Ibrahimovic scored 18 goals for Malmo, 48 for Ajax, 26 for Juventus, 66 for Inter Milan, 22 for Barcelona, 56 for AC Milan, 156 for Paris Saint-Germain, 29 for United and 62 for Sweden in a glittering career.

In reaching 500 career goals, Ibrahimovic joins Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the only active players to have reached that figure in club and international play.
