Kolkata: Mohun Bagan registered a thumping 9-0 win over Southern Samity in the U’16 Youth League, Kolkata zone round at Mohun Bagan Club ground on Saturday.
Koushik Sarkar and Sougata Hansda were the heroes of the match, as they both scored hat-tricks for the green and maroon brigade. Karamchand Murmu also scored twice while Subho Ghosh scored a goal too.
The Mariners led by three goals at the stroke of half time. The home side powered in six more goals after the breather to seal the match.
The win takes Mohun Bagan at the top of the table with 16 points from 6 matches.
