Internet Desk: A moment of magic from the legendary Diego Forlan, a brilliant match-winning goal from distance by Matias Defederico and an excellent start for Ranbir Kapoor's Mumbai City FC. The eyes of the Indian football fans were surrounded by the Maharashtra Derby as Indian football witnessed the Uruguayan superstar of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Diego Forlan for the first time in action on Indian soil. The Balewadi Sports Complex, in Pune was thoroughly entertained by some top class football from both the teams, but it was Mumbai City FC who managed to grab the vital 3 points from the away game against FC Pune City to start the new season in style.
The away team started the game with an attacking frame of mind but Antonio Habas' who had to sit out of the technical zone owing to a suspension shaped his new team FC Pune City in his usual defensive style. Though the likes of Oberman, Jonathan Lucca, Arata, Narayan Das and Rahul Bheke were bringing some brisk counter attacks to put pressure on the away side. Alexandre Guimaraes, the Costa Rican mastermind used Diego Forlan as a lone forward on the upfront with Leo Costa, Matias Defederico and Vadocz were creating attacks from the wings incessantly to trouble Apoula Edel Bete between the sticks.
