File Picture[/caption]   Internet Desk : Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir is all set to make his comeback to the Test squad for the ongoing series with New Zealand. According to the sources the Delhi Ranji Captain could replace injured opener KL Rahul for the second Test in Kolkata, starting September 30. Rahul, who has been in brilliant form for India in all forms of the game, suffered with a right hamstring injury during India’s second innings. He was dismissed at 38 and didn’t field as Shikhar Dhawan came on as his substitute. The sources  says the request comes from coach Anil Kumble and Gambhir is likely to go under a fitness test at National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru on Tuesday. As BCCI is looking for a replacement of Rahul, it could mean that Rahul’s injury is more than just a hamstring pull. Gambhir has played 56 Test matches for India with an average of 42.58 to score 4046 runs with nine centuries and a double century in his kitty. His best performance came against the Aussies in his home town Delhi, where he played an innings of 206 at Feroz Shah Kotla on 2008. Last time he represented his country at The Oval, England where he just scored 3 runs on 2014. He scored 94 and 36 against India Red in the recently concluded Duleep Trophy final, as he guided India Blue to victory.
