Kolkata : Atletico de Kolkata have started their season at home soil in style by beating Dipendu Biswas XI in a  practice match with score of 4-0 at Central Park Ground on Sunday afternoon.

ATK’s marquee player Helder Postiga started the scoring for the home team in the first half with a blinder. Later in the second half three more goals were scored by Jose Molina’s men as Juan Belencoso ,  Iain Hume and Bikramjit Singh scored each for ATK. Though there is a little confusion regarding Hume’s score as we don’t have the final word from the match officials.

After the match Atletico de Kolkata official’s stated the media that they won’t play any practice matches further ahead as all their matches in Hero ISL 2016 will be played under the flood lights. They are not getting any ground with flood light facility, as the Mohun Bagan ground is already taken by the Kerela Blasters side for their practice under the lights. They will continue their practice at the Central Park and will start their campaign on 2nd October against Chennaiyin FC without any flood light practice session.

Winning the match by 4-0 ATK coach Jose Molina said the scribes, “ I am quite happy with Arnab Mondal , Lalrindika Ralte, Abinash Ruidas and Prabir Das’s performance, you know they were not the part of our pre-season camp in Spain but they were getting their match practice here and that is important to me.”He added,” Arnab played with Tiri in the ISL Season 3, so I think there would be no defensive error between them.”
