File Picture[/caption] Internet Desk : The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today appointed a five member selection committee headed by former India cricketer MSK Prasad. Prasad, who was also a part of the previous selection committee was retained along with Gagan Khoda. The new members include Debang Gandhi from East Zone, Sarandeep Singh from North Zone and Jatin Paranjpe from West Zone. But the big question is can the BCCI appoint a five member selection committee which is a clear violation of the suggestions made by Lodha Committee. One of the key recommendations by Lodha Committee was to have three member selection committee. It goes to be seen how the appoitnment is taken by the Supreme Court. Let's take a look at the newly formed senior selection committee headed by MSK Prasad. Mannava Prasad : Mannava Prasad also known as MSK Prasad was a former batsman and competent wicket-keeper . He played a 89 runs knock in one of those two innings, but never got the chance to wear the blue jersey for his country again. Devang Gandhi : The former right handed opening batsman from Bengal played 4 Tests and 3 ODI's for India. He scored a total of 204 runs, with the highest score of 88 runs which contributed to India's win against the Kiwis. He also scored a blistering triple century (323 runs) against Assam in a Ranji Trophy match. He scored 16 first class centuries for Bengal and East Zone. Sarandeep Singh : Sarandeep Singh was a former right-arm off-break bowler. He started his career in tests against Zimbabwe  in the year 2000. He played 3 tests in his career and took 10 wickets. His best figure in test cricket was 6 for 206 against the Zimbabwe at Nagpur.
