BCCI[/caption] Internet Desk: Continuing to dominate on Day 3, India Blue bowled India Green out for 237 to seize a 470-run first innings lead and were 85 without loss of wickets at stumps in the second innings of the Duleep Trophy match in Greater Noida. After their batsmen piled on 707 runs on the board, the India Blue pacers – Abhimanyu Mithun (3/16) and Pankaj Singh (2/54) - dismantled the India Green line-up after Karn Sharma (3/74) claimed M Vijay with just 11 runs on the board. The Gautam Gambhir-led team are assured three points on the basis of the first innings lead from this match and will have a minimum four points at the end of it having received a point from their drawn game. India Green are yet to open their account in the points column. Based on the present scenario, India Blue will take on India Red in the final of the ongoing tournament being played under lights with the pink ball. After wrapping up the opposition in the final session of the third day, Gautam Gambhir (36*) opened the second innings with Mayank Agarwal (49*) and saw the team through to the end of day’s play in an unbroken stand. Earlier, hitting the deck hard, the bowlers had left the opposition struggling on 90 for four in 19.5 overs. Gambhir’s ploy to open the bowling with leg-spinner Karn Sharma from one end was rewarded when the bowler castled Vijay with a quicker delivery. Abhimanyu Mithun then forced an edge from Jalaj Saxena through to Dinesh Karthik to reduce India Green to 37 for two. While the India Blue bowlers worked to create chances, Robin Uthappa maintained a steady flow of runs with boundaries at regular intervals as he looked to stabilise the innings with Suarabh Tiwary. He pulled and drove the bowlers, and particularly Mohit Sharma to the ropes in an effort to shape the innings. However, while on 41, the opener edged Pankaj to the wicketkeeper and departed for 41. In the next over, a direct hit from the tall pacer found Saurabh short of his crease at the non-striker’s end. Parthiv Patel and Shreyas Gopal resumed the innings in the second session at 109 for four. However, as the partnership began to take shape, Mithun struck to end it for 78 runs. The pacer forced an edge from Shreyas to the wicketkeeper bringing Suresh Raina to the crease. His absence on the field on the entire second day had meant that the captain could come in to bat after the loss of five wickets. Wickets continued to tumble as Pankaj trapped Parthiv trapped lbw for 55 in the next over. In the following over, Ashoke Dinda nudged at a Mithun delivery and Mayank Agarwal took a simple catch at second slip leaving India Green on 177 for seven. Jasprit Bumrah joined Raina, who looked in good nick to keep the innings afloat. However, in the over before dinner, with the partnership worth 33, Karn accounted for the lower-order bat. The left-hand bat then took the team to dinner with Pragyan Ojha at 211 for eight. With two off Mohit Sharma to square-leg, Raina got his half-century in the final session, but in the next over Rasool had the India Green captain plumb leg-before-wicket. Karn then accounted for Ojha in the next to bowl India Green out for 237.
