Pic neofitness.in[/caption] Internet Desk: After an encouraging performance from Sunil Chhetri against Puerto Rico Indian coach Stephen Constantine is in all praise of Sunil Chhetri. Denoting him as the ‘talisman’ of Indian football team, the British coach of India described that Chhetri can play in any position. Though he prefers his key player to pay behind the strikers. In appraisal of the Indian skipper, the coach said, “Sunil Chhetri is the talisman of this team. He is a wonderful player. He has been scoring goals for the last 10 years.” Defining him as team maker Constantine likes him to play from behind the strikers. He says, “A player of his calibre, you have to find the space for him. For me, his place is behind the striker. He brings other people into the game. He has an eye for goal, he sees the pass, and he works. It's not like he's walking about. Personally, I like to play him behind the striker”. According to the national coach Sunil is not only a great player for India, but also a good leader for the team. “He is one of the leaders of the team, the captain. And as long as he's fit, he plays," certifies Constantine. Chhetri is the man behind the 3goals scored out of the 4 scored by Indian team. He gave the passes for two goals beside scoring one for the team. However, apart from praising the Indian captain Stephen is looking for the upgradation of the team in the FIFA world ranking. He expects more matches like the yesterday’s one for the betterment of the team. “Anyone above us is good enough. Was this game appropriate for us, absolutely! This gave us an opportunity to play against South American opposition which we do not normally do”, said Constantine. He further added, “This is why I wanted us to go to the US in the first place, to get games against sides like Guyana, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago, these kind of teams, as we learn more playing against them as against smaller nations closer to us”.
