Internet Desk: With the Wimbledon 2016 getting underway from Monday the draw is et to take place on Friday.
British Andy Murray has lost both Grand Slam finals to number one seed Djokovic this year and Wednesday's announcement confirms that the pair cannot meet at the All-England Club until a potentially record-equalling eighth slam final between them.
Djokovic heads to London as the first man since Jim Courier in 1992 to win the first two majors of the year and the red-hot favourite to add a fourth Wimbledon crown and third in succession to his collection of 12 Grand Slam titles.
The Serb has beaten Federer in each of the last two finals in SW19 and the Swiss great, seeking an 18th slam and first since 2012, will be seeded third in his bid for an eighth Wimbledon title.
Two-time Grand Slam champion Stan Wawrinka completes the top four with Rafael Nadal confirming that a wrist injury suffered at the French Open will keep him out of the Championships for the first time since 2009.
World number ten and last year's Wimbledon semi-finalist Richard Gasquet has been seeded seventh while 2014 US Open champion Marin Cilic moves up from a world ranking of 13 to a seeding of ninth.
