File Pic[/caption] Internet Desk: His dreams of representing India for Rio Olympics all but over, Sushil Kumar said there was no reason for him to not support Narsingh Yadav for the mega-event. The Olympic medallist, having finally accepted the Delhi High Court's verdict on May 6 that dismissed his plea of conducting a trial bout against Narsingh, added a cheeky remark. "Narsingh toh Pakistan ka nahi hai, support kyun nahi karenge usse?" (Narsingh is not from Pakistan. Why wouldn't I support him?), Sushil said In a chat with ESPN India. "Training is currently my sole focus. That's what's keeping me busy." Having won a bronze medal in the World Championship in Las Vegas last September, Narsingh secured an Olympic quota in the 74-kg category. Sushil, on the hand, who has won two Olympic medals in the 66-kg category moved to 74-kg when the former category was scrapped. He then missed the World Championship due to a shoulder injury, which further aggravated his chance of securing a quota.

Despite the decision of the High Court, Sushil further added that the final call on the matter will be taken by his coach and father-in-law Satpal Singh. However, it seems likely that he will not go ahead and challenge the call keeping in mind the little time left for the Olympics. Sushil's goodwill has also takern a hit to a certain extent following the controversy and he wouldn't be too confident on sabotaging his image more.
