Xtra Time Web Desk : Gujarat Titans’ captain Hardik Pandya has found himself at the receiving end of criticism once again. Hardik was caught abusing teammate Mohammed Shami on-the field during Monday night’s IPL 2022 game between Gujarat and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

This incident occurred in the last ball of the 13th over of SRH’s innings. Chasing a total of 163, Kane Williamson’s team was cruising comfortably at 97/1 in the thirteenth over.
Gujarat were understandably desperate for a wicket and they almost got one when Pandya bowled a beamer to SRH batter Rahul Tripathi. He played an upper-cut and the ball landed just in front of Shami who was fielding at third man. Shami was saving the ball from reaching the boundary rather than going for the catch.

This visibly upset Hardik as he was not happy at all with Shami’s effort. He vented out his frustration and uttered abuses – which was clearly caught on camera.

Besides that, Sai Sudarshan could not avoid the wrath of the captain either. He too got a scolding for poor fielding effort as GT lost their first match of the ongoing IPL 2022 season after three consecutive wins.

The big loss to Sunrisers forced Gujarat Titans to slip to No. 5 in the IPL Points Table.
