PM Narendra Modi speaks with Sourav Ganguly, wishes him a speedy recovery
Xtra Time Web Desk: Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi on Sunday spoke to Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly via a phone call. The Prime Minister wished Ganguly a speedy recovery. The former India captain suffered a mild heart attack on Saturday and is currently undergoing treatment at Woodlands hospital in Kolkata.
As per news agency PTI, PM Modi spoke to Ganguly and his wife Dona over the phone on Sunday and wished him a fast recovery. Wishes have been pouring in from all corners for the former India captain, who is said to be stable following angioplasty but his health status is being monitored continuously by the doctors.
Woodlands Hospital's CEO Dr. Rupali Basu provided an update on his health earlier on Sunday and said Ganguly has a blockage in three coronary arteries. She stated that the main culprit artery has been revascularised but the other two are yet to be revascularised.
"We had to do an angioplasty and his main culprit artery, which is the right coronary artery, has been now revascularised with a stent. But then there are 2 more such blocks in 2 more arteries which needs to be revascularised which is the process we have to do now," Dr. Basu was quoted as saying in a statement from the hospital.
Ganguly complained of chest pain on Saturday while working at the gym in his Behala residence.

On the other hand, we denounce with righteous indignation and dislike men who are so beguiled and demoralized by the charms of pleasure of the moment
