XtraTime Web Desk: Former India all rounder Yuvraj Singh revealed why he started thinking about retirement in an instagram live chat with Team India’s No 1 bowler Jasprit Bumrah on Sunday. The left hander started thinking about his retirement once he was called “Yuvi pa” by his former Kings XI Punjab teammate Andrew Tye. Couple of years back the Australian fast bowler started calling him “Yuvi pa". According to Yuvraj, "I realised I should retire after I played with you (Jasprit Bumrah) guys in the final stages of my career. But I actually thought of retirement first in 2018 when I was playing the IPL for Kings XI Punjab and Andrew Tye (Australia fast bowler) started calling me 'Yuvi pa'." Yuvraj has always been a straight forward individual, calling spade a spade even after retiring from the game. The all rounder was not shy of taking a dig at the current generation of cricketers. "I feel they try too hard. They become what they are not when they are on social media," Yuvraj said. He added, "I have seen many players who are otherwise very decent but on social media they become something else." Bumrah also feel the same with the upcoming players who always seek validation on social media. "I have seen youngsters want validation on social media. That people say they are good. People''s opionion should not change perception and it should not matter. You need to have confidence in yourself," said Bumrah. Yuvraj also revealed that he was always confident of Bumrah's abilities after watching him bowl and had predicted that he would become the best bowler in the world one day. "Three years back I had predicted that you would become the number one bowler in the world," Yuvraj said.
