XtraTime Web Desk: There are serious doubts of hosting the Asia Cup 2020 this year following a statement from Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ehsan Mani. According to Mani, the premier tournament featuring the top Asian countries looks uncertain because of the coronavirus pandemic. The Asia Cup this year was supposed to be T20 format keeping in mind the T20 World Cup later this year. So the teams would have assessed each other’s strength and weaknesses. Pakistan is supposed to host the tournament but with Mani’s statement, there is even more cloud covers to stage the tournament this year. "There's uncertainty over the Asia Cup. Nothing has been decided yet. The whole world is in an uncertain state," said Mani in an interview to The Telegraph. According to the PCB Chairman, "You don't know what it will be like in September. Don't get me wrong but it will depend on a number of factors. Mere speculation won't help. Maybe the situation will be clearer in a month's time." Several international tours have already been postponed and the fate of Indian Premier League 2020 also hangs in balance. The BCCI is constantly assessing the situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic and is supposed to announce their decision after April 15.
