IPL 2018: Gowtham leads Rajasthan Royals to clinch a thriller against Mumbai Indians
XtraTime Web Desk: Krisnappa Gowtham's heroics help Rajasthan Royals to beat Mumbai Indians by three wickets in a nail-biting contest. Chasing 168, Rajasthan lost wickets in the later half of the game and it seemed they have lost the plot. However, Krisnappa Gowtham hit the ball really hard and 33 runs from 11 balls to make sure his team did not lose another home match. They defeated Mumbai by 3 wickets. Rajasthan Royals, chasing 168, lost the wicket of Rahul Tiwari early but Rahane and Sanju stabilised the innings. Runs did not come in plenty of boundaries as singles came in easy. Ajinkya Rahane tried to accelerate and was caught for 14. Primed to score over 200, Mumbai Indians lost the plot as wickets fell very quickly. In the last 6 overs, only 37 runs were scored and 6 wickets were lost. Jofra Archer was the pick of the bowlers, as he picked up 3 wickets for 22 runs. Mumbai Indians made 167 for the loss of 7 wickets. Rajasthan didn't have a good start. But Samson (52 off 39) and Stokes (40 off 27) held the innings together to allow Gowtham (33 off 11) to finish things off in a dramatic fashion.
