Women’s T20 challenge | Historic match between Supernovas & Trailblazers ends with a last ball thriller

 

XtraTime Web Desk: In a match which can be called as the dry run ahead of the Women’s Indian Premier League Supernovas beat Trailblazers by 3 wickets in a last ball thriller at the Wankhede Satdium today. Winning the toss Supernovas opt to bowl first.




They restricted Trailblazers on 129 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Suzie Bates (32) was the top scorer for Trailblazers, skipper Smriti Mandhana didn’t have a good outing as she got out on 14 runs. For Supernovas Megan Schutt and Ellyse Perry both had shared 2 wickets each. In reply, former India skipper Mithali Raj (22) and Danielle Wyatt (24) gave a strong start to the Supernovas. When everyone started thinking that it would be a cake walk for Supernovas but the Trailblazers bowlers brought them back in the game again, but later skipper Harmanpreet Kaur (21) and Ellyse Perry 13* take their side home in this historic game.
