Internet Desk: Two times IPL champions Chennai Super Kings will be back in action for the next edition of the cash rich league. The Super Kings has finished serving a ban of two years for betting activities of their key officials Gurunath Meiyappan and Raj Kundra during the 2013 season. Rajasthan Royals was the other franchise who was proved guilty as well.

Supreme Court appointed three member committee headed by former chief justice RM Lodha handed a two year ban for both the franchises.

The franchise posted an emotional message on Twitter on Friday which read, “Super Morning, Lions! The wait is finally over. Time to rise and shine! #CSKReturns #whistlepodu.”

The Chennai Super Kings fans were delighted as the two year period of ban got over on Thursday. Since the inception of Indian Premier League (IPL), Chennai Super Kings not only emerged as one of the most popular franchises among fans, but also one of the most dominating T20 squads in world cricket.

The franchise under the captaincy of former India captain MS Dhoni has been the most consistent teams in the history of Indian Premier League. The Yellow Army were the champions of IPL in 2010 and 2011 respectively, apart from being the twice champions of Champions League T20.

The franchise has produced some of the tournament’s most consistent performers in Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni, Dwayne Bravo, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.

But the biggest question is will the franchise be able to get the service of their talismanic leader MS Dhoni, who was bought by Pune franchise Rising Pune Supergiants?
