XtraTime Web Desk: The no.7 of the England U17 National Team became a crowd heart-throb in the FIFA U17 World Cup happened in the last year in India. Phil Foden was not only the most attractive player of the competition, but also the player who was rated to be the future superstar of world football. The youngster is now all set to put his feet to marching pedals to explore to the next level.

Phil Foden is set to be rewarded with a new five-year contract by Manchester City when he turns 18-years-old in May.

Foden is one of the Premier League’s rising stars after playing a key role in England’s Under-17 World Cup triumph in October and breaking into the first-team at the Etihad this season.

The 17-year-old midfielder made his sixth senior appearance for City as a late substitute in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final win over Arsenal at Wembley.

t’s understood that Foden’s current deal that runs until 2020 is worth £20,000-a-week including bonuses, but he can expect to double that under the terms of the new contract.

City are keen to reward the Stockport-born player for his progress as well as making sure that one of the hottest prospects in English football commits his future to the club.
