Kolkata: Carlos Alberto Valderrama aka ‘El Pibo’ meaning ‘The Kid’ will finally set foot in the City of Joy on September 7 in the evening. The following day i.e. on September 8 he will inaugurate the jersey of the ‘Dada Vs Diego’ match.
After the jersey launch the South American star id expected to join some couple of programmes, followed by a trip to Mohun Bagan club ground. The Green and Maroon brigade would be expecting Valderrama at 4 PM who would be visiting the club and the players.
Valderrama who will be staying in Kolkata till 11th of this month, is also expected to have a meeting with South Ganguly, however the date of the meeting is yet to be finalized.
The organizers are trying to bring star East Bengal star Majid Bhiskar on October 2 to feature in the ‘Dada Vs Diego’ match.
After a delay in preparations and of terms and conditions, the event organizer finally managed to bring the Latin American superstar in the city.
Valderrama took part in an exhibition game at Dr DY Patil Stadium and unveiled the Winner’s Trophy for the Navi Mumbai leg of the Trophy Experience.
