What will be India’s team combination for the second test against Windies?

XtraTime Web Desk: Indian cricket team’s bowling coach Bharat Arun on Wednesday has made it clear that there are no possibilities of going with a second tier team in the second and final test against the Windies at Hyderabad which is set to begin from October 12 and the best playing xi will be there in the park to clean sweep the series.

Arun also added that the World No.1 test side knows it pretty well that the visitors will try to fight back in the final test after losing the first test in Rajkot and they will be boosted as well because their experienced pacers Jason Holder and Kemar Roach are set to return in the team.

On being asked whether facing a weak team like the West Indies would help the team ahead of the Australia series, Arun said,”For instance, look at Prithvi Shawwho was fabulous in the first Test at Rajkot. More than the runs he scored, the composure and the body language he showed are the kind of things we look for from a player.”

“Definitely, we are delighted with the way the bowlers are doing well consistently at the highest level.  Still, we are constantly looking for improvement in all areas,” the bowling coach said.

While commenting on the form of team’s vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane, Arun said,“He got everything to be a world class player.”

Arun was the mentor of young pacer Mohammed Siraj when he was with the Hyderabad Ranji team. As per him, Siraj is a very quick learner and his recent performances for India A speaks about his class.

“And, with experience he will be still a much better bowler. It is unfortunate that pacer Umesh Yadav didn’t get too many chances in South Africa and England. Essentially we are rotating the bowlers and Umesh will be a part of this process,” he said.

Except of a century in the final test in England Rahul looked inconsistent throughout the series. Arun said that the team’s head coach Ravi Shastri and Sanjay Banger had a long discussion with Rahul.

“For me, Rahul is a fantastic player and should be persisted with,” he concluded.
