Kolkata: The AFC and the FIFA delegates paid a visit to East Bengal club. The officials not only visited the club but also visited the gym, ground as well as the cafeteria. Joining the FIFA and AFC delegates, there were also representatives from IMGR and AIFF, Chirag Tanna and Sunanda Dhar. “We proposed the issue of One Nation-One League to the representatives. We want 18 teams to participate in the league and if required we will also play the ISL in the near future. However in no condition we would pay the franchisee fee, but we have no problem in paying the entry fee” said East Bengal official Debabrata Sarkar.

On being questioned that only a team can play from city, which means if that be the case East Bengal will have to play, Sarkar said, “Our Chief Minister has said there would be no problem in playing in such conditions. However these decisions can be sorted out in a meeting.”

After this the delegates visited Mohammedan Sporting Club where the club officials too voiced out their opinions and also about their history and legacy.
