Kolkata: Ansumana Kromah the star foreigner forward of Mohun Bagan, made his mark in his first game at the CFL when he was adjudged the Man of the Match after scoring a brilliant goal. Staying in the field for 80 minutes he was lethal at the strike zone. A Happy Kromah said, “For me victory of the team is more important than me scoring goals. Our aim is to win the CFL at any cost.”

Kromah was seen wearing a No.5 jersey which is unusual for strikers as they wear a No.9 or a No.10. To this Kromah said, “For me the jersey no doesn’t matter. However before the match, Jose Barreto made it clear to us what it means to play in a Mohun Bagan jersey so we played with a greater motivation and determination”

“Despite the fact we couldn’t play well in the first half as it took us time to get composed however we played well in the second half and scored 3 goals. I happy being judged as the Man of the Match” said Kromah.

Mohun Bagan sensation Jose Ramirez Barreto who is present in the city of Joy was present to watch his side play their opening game of the season. “I was very nostalgic being here. It’s great to hear the “Barreto Barreto” chants from the fans all throughout the game. Though my mind wanted to play, my body is not ready”

“The atmosphere has been fantastic” claimed Barreto who would be returning to Mumbai to coach his Reliance Young Champs.

Swapan Sadhan Bose who came to witness the game said “I came to watch the game as a supporter and not as a president. I really enjoyed the game”
