Internet Desk: Rain threatens to wash-out the second semi final of the ICC Women’s World Cup between India and Australia at Derby today. With the forecast for more showers on the reserve day tomorrow, there is a possibility of the match getting washed away. If the rain does play a spoilsport then Australia will qualify through to the final of the Women’s World Cup. The six time World champions will go through having won more matches in the tournament compared to India. In fact Australia also got the better of Mithali Raj and her team in the round robin league match.

The cut off time for the match to start is 4:38pm local time on Thursday. Overs start reducing once the clock touches 12.30.

The entire knock out matches of the tournament had reserve days. But if the game is not completed on the scheduled day, the contest shall resume from the same point where it had stopped. Most importantly there is no option to start afresh.

It will be a very unfortunate exit for the Indian eves considering they were all charged up to play the big semi-final against the Aussies. With England already making it to the final on Sunday, it will be a toss between India and Australia decide on their opponent.
