Kolkata:
The six-member committee formed by the All India Football Federation to decide the fate of East Bengal youngster Abinas Ruidas, met at the AIFF office today to discuss the prolonged contract controversy. The committee, consisting of the Disciplinary Committee and Players’ Status Committee members had a long discussion regarding the rules and regulations of the AIFF constitution.

Though all the members have gone through the rules and regulations but couldn’t come to a decision if The AIFF or The IFA to take a final call on the Abinas Ruidas issue. Though it is learnt that the decision will be a unanimous one and the members will officially e-mail their opinion to the AIFF in next two-three days.

No doubt, if The IFA gets the authority to take the decision, the player will have likely to play for East Bengal only. On the flip side, if the AIFF gets the authority, the Mumbai City FC management will be happy.

Meanwhile, the disciplinary committee leaves Mohun Bagan Assistant Secretary Srinjoy Bose with just a warning, as he reportedly “abused” the match officials during the title deciding game of the last I-League season. The disciplinary committee gave it a deep thought and understood the reason why the Bagan official reacted, as the AIFF was announcing the updates of the other game which was going on at Shillong between Shillong Lajong and Aizawl FC at the stadium. The Bagan official naturally reacted, as it could have affected the concentration of the players who were already under pressure.
