Internet Desk: India cricket team’s star opener Rohit Sharma’s maiden ton on Proteas soil helped the visitors to win the fifth ODI at Port Elizabeth last night. With this win Virat Kohli & Co. became the first Indian team in the history to win a series in South Africa.

After this historic triumph, the cricket fans saw Sharma in a different role as he took a interview of India skipper Virat Kohli in a ‘quick selfie interview’ for the BCCI.tv. On being asked by Rohit about his feeling on winning their first ever series after long 25 years, Kohli heaped praise about Rohit and also credited the team’s effort for the remarkable achievement.

“It feels amazing. Rohit’s contribution was amazing. It’s wonderful to create a history after 25 years and everyone is really proud at the change room. It’s been a collective effort and something we wanted to do badly. So, brilliant, amazing,” Kohli said.

After that the opener asked Kohli what went right for the team in the ongoing ODI series. In reply the India skipper again lauded the whole team, beside that he hailed the team’s bowlers, especially Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav and both fast bowlers Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah.

“In every game, someone has put his hand up and performed. And the two young spinners, the way they have bowled. The way Bumrah and Bhuvi have shown experience, it’s amazing,” he said.

Rohit’s maiden ton on the Proteas soil helped the Men in Blue to post a chalenging total of 274/7 on board. In reply, the Proteas could only manage to score 201 runs as Kuldeep took 4 wickets to break their batting line-up. The Indian cricket team is leading the ODI series 4-1 and they will get the opportunity to make it 5-1 in Centurion in the final ODI on Friday. Here goes the video link:
