Galle: Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja was seen mocking at the action of Dilruwan Perera during the second innings of India at Galle International Stadium. The Baroda cricketer was seen imitating the action of the Sri Lankan spinner in a comic fashion much to the amusement of Team India coach Ravi Shastri and Captain Virat Kohli.
Jadeja’s action got the Indian dressing room in laughter as s he came up with a better imitation on a second attempt.
Jadeja was the pick of the Indian bowlers in the 2nd innings with three wickets, as Sri Lanka was bundled out for 291. With the visitors already posting an imposing total of 498 runs to chase, it goes to be seen when the Indian captain declares the innings. If India does win, it will be the first time they will emerge victorious at this venue.
Dilruwan played brilliant knock of 92* to take the Sri Lankan innings closer to 300 runs. Later after the days play he was asked about the incident. But the Lankan spinner said, “I have not seen the incident so I do not want to make any comments.”
